  • Since we don't have kids of our own...

Mom Dad and I only wore Halloween themed outfits. Mom and I wore our Halloween attire to work that day. I was able to get off from work 2 hrs early, and still got paid for the whole shift, because of the holiday. Paul slept through the holiday hoping no kids would come to the door begging for candy. Jessica's family went all out.

  • New family members!

Jessica married Jay Davis on Thursday evening. It was a simple yet beautiful ceremony. We had lots of fun at the reception. I made the wedding cake! I don't have pics of it as of yet tho. I didn't take any. Nathan took control of my camera and captured a few cute pics of Jay and Jess.

Can you tell McKayla was thirsty?

The kiddos are spending the weekend with Grandma Vicki. I took Nathan up there for the day to play with his new siblings. They immediately started jumping on the tramp.

  • Update

Hey ya'll! Sorry I haven't written in a while. I've been uber busy and I don't have the internet at mom and dad's or at the new apartment.

That's right! I said apartment! I moved in on Monday night! It's pretty bare but I'm loving it and can't wait for Paul to join me here. I found a 2 bedroom apartment in Roy next to the HS and Complex. It's $590 a month! I'm so excited! For now I'm using the extra bedroom as a toy room for the kiddos. I have been sleeping on a twin sized matress that's on the floor. I have a bit of furniture from my parents and derek. It's amazing how much I need to get that apartment in working order. So far, I've been spending most of my time with my family.

I also got a job! I start work on Monday afternoon. I'll be in training for 2 weeks from 1 - 8:30pm Monday through Friday. My regular shift is from 11am-6pm Wed through Friday then 10am to 4pm Sat and Sunday. It's a great opportunity for me! I'm thrilled. I get benefits after 90 days and even get free directv! I'll be working at Focus for Directv in a call center. I'm looking forward to getting my office skills up to date!

Paul is busy packing up the house and getting it ready to rent out. His goal is to have renters in on December 1st.

  • My first weekend away from Paul

We're on day 3 of our separation and he's hating and I'm too busy to notice a difference. LOL! I do hate sleeping alone tho and I am looking forward to doing stuff  with him again.

Paul is busy getting the house ready for renters. His first goal is to find a new home for Regan. I don't know what else is high priority on his list. I do know he needs to finish up packing the house. He's starting in the kitchen first, so he can deep clean it. We still need a stove tho.

Saturday was hectic. There were 3 soccer games to attend and 2 were at the same time. I had to choose between McCade and Nathan. Jessica ended up making the decision. She sent Mom and I to Nate's game and went to McCade's with the rest of her fam. Nathan lost his game but did score the only 3 points the team got! McCade won his game and scored 2 points for the team. We all met up and went to the remainder of Brooke's game. Brooke was goalie when we got there. Her game ended in a tie. Mom, Tammy and I then went to run some errands. We bought church shoes for the 4 girls. I got 2 new pairs of ballet flats. I needed some dress shoes that weren't sandals. We ended the day with Ellen, Kami and Jana making apple pie filling.

I went to 2 church services on Sunday. I went to my church to get to know the new congregation and then went to church with Mom and Dad to see my friends there. After church I turned in an application for an apartment in Roy. I can't wait to hear back!

Monday will be spent running errands and getting settled. I need to register my car, look for jobs and also look around at other apartments.

  • Our trip moving me to Utah

Input from Paul: “I can’t believe I’m letting my sweet pretty princess go for STILL EVEN YET ANOTHER separation.

Day 1 - We began our trip at about 6pm on Wed evening. We drove through Louisiana, Arkansas, Texas, and Oklahoma. Along the way we passed through such cities as Reno, Detroit, Pittsburgh (we didn’t actually see the city, we must have blinked J ) and Paris and my fav was seeing a sign for BOXELDER, if only it was that close. We finally arrived in Tulsa after midnight only to find that the first hotel we stopped at was full. We passed through Tulsa and stayed in Sand Springs at a Best Western. We got the last room and it was smoking L Oh well, we slept well.

Day 2 - We woke up around 11am. I showered while Paul packed up. We finally got on the road again at almost noon. I tried to eat a roll and drink a V8 for lunch but it didn’t hold me so we stopped at 1. The great thing about today’s trip is it’s main roads all the way as opposed to yesterdays “dog trails.” Paul is especially loving and clingy today since we go our separate ways tomorrow. It will be tough saying goodbye but we know it will only be for a few months. Anyway, throughout the day trip I crocheted a scarf to sell. Then, Just outside of Hays Kansas, we made a rough detour. Paul did a u-turn on the interstate where the police go so we could see the historic Cathedral of the Plains in Victoria. The official name of the cathedral is the St Fidelis Church. It was built by settlers in 1908 and completed in 1911. We were able to go inside and see the beautiful stained glass windows. Our trip together ended in Denver where we stayed at the La Quinta Inn and Suites. It was outrageously expensive but close to the airport. It featured a free breakfast and free shuttle to the airport.

    Day 2 Devotional

    Reflect

If I am inconsiderate about the comfort of others, or their feelings or even their little weaknesses; if I am careless about their little hurts and miss opportunities to smooth their way; if I make the sweet running of household wheels more difficult to accomplish, then I know nothing of Calvary love. - Amy Carmichael

    Revive

Psalm 133:1-3 - Live together in unity

Matthew 25:31-46 - One of the least of these…

Day 3 - I’m so glad to finally be writing from UT. I got here a few hours ago. Today was a boring drive for me since I was alone. Paul flew out of Denver at 9am. I was well on my way to UT by then. I was so happy to cross into Wyoming and even more happy when I got into UT. I spent my time traveling listening to music and watching the 18 wheelers. I noticed lots of Swift trucks, which is the company Paul’s hoping to work for. Other frequently seen trucks were Covenant, English, Schneider (Paul’s 2nd choice) and so on. I was happy that I started seeing lots of trains through Wyoming and Utah. I was able to see a herd of deer along the roadside. The worst part of the trip was construction through Wyoming.
